Introduction to the Galaxy Series

Budget e-mobility brand Heybike has recently announced the new Galaxy series of ebikes, which consists of five models designed to cater to various riding needs and preferences. The series was launched at Eurobike 2025 and is aimed at European riders. The Galaxy series is built around Heybike’s own mid-drive motor system, which is rated for 250 watts of continuous power delivery for pedal-assist to 25 km/h (15.5 mph) and can produce up to 100 Nm (73.75 lb.ft) of torque.

Models in the Galaxy Series

The Galaxy series includes five distinct ebike models, each with its unique features and specifications. The first model is the trekker, which is priced at €2,299 (about US$2,695) and features a 500-Wh downtube battery for up to 135 km (83.8 miles) of per-charge range. The trekker has an alloy frame with a rear rack in shocking orange for bikepacking gear and can haul up to 125 kg (275.5 lb), including the rider.

Trekker and Off-Roader Models

The trekker model rolls on 27.5-inch wheels wearing 2.4-inch Schwalbe tires and features a torque sensor for instant response from the drive system. It also has 9-speed Shimano Alivio shifting for more flexible ride choices and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes for stopping power. The Galaxy series also includes an off-roader model, the Galaxy M, which rides with the same motor/battery combo as the trekker but benefits from a different flavor of Suntour fork that soaks up more uneven terrain – offering 120 mm of travel.

Cargo Bike and City Bike Models

The Galaxy X is a cargo bike that can haul up to 150 kg and features a suspension fork, headlight, braking tail-light, and turn signaling. It also has cargo-specific tires wrapped around the 24-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. The Galaxy series also includes a low-step city bike, which retains the 500-Wh battery of its siblings and features a 7-speed Nexus hub, suspension seat post, and rigid fork.

Compact Commuter Model

The Galaxy K is an everyday compact commuter that features a 330-Wh battery for up to 90 km (56 miles) of PAS range. It rolls on 20-inch wheels with 2.15-inch Big Ben Plus tires and boasts 9-speed CUES shifting, handy rear rack, and rides smoother thanks to a rigid fork with suspension buffers. The Galaxy K is the lightest model in the series, weighing 23 kg (50 lb), and is priced at €2,099 (US$2,450).

Conclusion

The Heybike Galaxy series offers a diverse range of ebike models that cater to different riding needs and preferences. Whether you’re a city commuter, a leisurely rider, or an off-road adventurer, the Galaxy series has something for everyone. With its unique features, reliable performance, and stylish design, the Galaxy series is an excellent choice for those looking for a high-quality ebike. As Heybike puts it, "This unified series is crafted to meet a diverse array of riding needs and preferences, whether city commuting, leisurely rides, or thrilling off-road adventures."
